The Mastruzzo–Núñez Duo was founded in Buenos Aires in 2021 with the aim of promoting Argentine music written for the traditional flute and guitar ensemble. Their repertoire encompasses tango, Latin American music, and contemporary works.

Through projects such as Aires Populares (featuring music by Piazzolla, Troilo, Bartók, and Machado), they have performed extensively in Buenos Aires and toured Italy and Spain in 2022.

With the support of Argentina’s Ministry of Culture, they presented Tangos del Olvido in Mexico in 2023, a project dedicated to rediscovering rarely performed tangos by historic women composers and performers, featuring new arrangements by Federico Núñez.

In 2025, the duo brought their music to Poland, participating in the International Composers’ Festival in Krakow and premiering contemporary works dedicated to them. They also toured Italy and Greece with their Tangos del Olvido project.

The duo will soon release two albums with Epsa Music: Tangos del Olvido and Poéticas del Presente- Live in Krakow.
